The President of the CCP:

  • Organises and manage the activities of the Commission and represent it in the country and abroad;
  • Leads the meetings of the Commission;
  • Organises the Commission's information policy, ensuring accessibility and transparency of its activities;
  • Approves the structure of the administrative units and the staff structure of the administration;
  • Establishes the internal rules of procedure, the salary and remuneration rules of the Commission's administration, and any other internal rules provided for by law;
  • Exrcises the functions of appointing authority in respect of civil servants and of employer in respect of employees under an employment relationship;
  • Authorises and terminates leaves of absence and secondments of officials and members of the Commission;
  • Signs contracts necessary for the operation of the Commission and its administration;
  • In the exercise of his/her powers, issues individual administrative acts, criminal decrees and authorises officials to issue criminal decrees in the cases provided for by law;
  • Notifies the Minister of Tourism and the mayors of the municipalities in the cases of offences provided for in the Tourism Act;
  • Performs other functions provided for in a legal act.
